Getting Ready For Kindergarten
A child’s education, like everything else, begins at home. And kindergarten is the child’s first ”real” school experience. It is the responsibility of parents to help their children be ready to enter kindergarten.
While there is no perfect formula that determines when your children is truly ready for kindergarten, most children are ready for kindergarten at the age of five and has acquired basic skills that jave to do with self-control, independence, and early academic learning. However, some kids need an extra year to mature or reach certain developmental milestones.
Many people would agree that children entering kindergarten should be prepared. So before enter kindergarten, you want your child to be as prepared as he can be for kindergarten. Starting kindergarten or childcare can be just as stressful as starting school, though the child is younger and it can often be more difficult to prepare them for it. The best thing you can do to prepare your preschooler for kindergarten is to invest as much time as possible and talk to your child about going to kindergarten. Tell her about the friends she will make, the fun she will have, and all she will learn. Tour the school, check out the playground, meet with teacher if you can.
